Ka‘ahele ‘Āina: Exploring Mea Kanu through Scientific & Cultural Inquiry

Join Kawehena Project and the UHM Campus Arboretum Curator, Nōweo Kai, for an hour-long guided nature walk exploring UH ԴDz's campus collection of native and canoe plants. Get hands-on experience identifying these important plants while uncovering their cultural and ecological significance. Learn about traditional land stewardship, connect with ‘āina and ‘ike kūpuna, and gain a deeper understanding of ֱ‘i through mea kanu! Meet at ֱ‘i Hall Lawn on 3/12 at 9a. Participants will receive a Kākou Collective "field guide" for attending.
